A Fine Art Experience in the last wilderness of Europe
One of our experiences took clients to the deep north of Sweden, a region often referred to as "Europe's last wilderness." Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of snow-capped mountains and vast open spaces, they experienced unforgettable days filled with adventure and creativity. The Fine Art Experience team organized a tailor-made itinerary, which included activities such as ice fishing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, and the baking of traditional local bread, tunnbröd, and of course, the creation of a unique Fine Art print.
Beginning of the adventure
Omar and Nina, a couple from Florida, took their family to northern Sweden, to a small mountain village called Borgafjäll. There, they were ready for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: collaborating with renowned landscape photographer Serkan Günes to create a custom art print.
Arriving at their cozy mountain lodge, one of Sweden's 25 historic buildings, they were greeted by Serkan, an expert in capturing Scandinavia's wild beauty. The first day began with a snowmobile ride to a frozen lake, where they tried ice fishing and enjoyed freshly caught fish, prepared by a private chef over an open fire. This tranquil setting was the ideal backdrop to discuss the creative process and plan the unique work they would create over the coming days.
A new perspective
One of the most emotional moments of the trip was a scenic helicopter flight. Shortly after takeoff, Nina admired a pristine landscape that seemed endless. From above, the wilderness revealed its hidden beauty, while Serkan offered advice on framing and composition.
To make the experience even more memorable, the helicopter landed on a remote snow-capped peak. Surrounded by breathtaking views and immersed in absolute silence, the family experienced a moment of wonder in a truly remote place.
The perfect moment
The next day, perfect weather allowed the group to discover the perfect spot for their creative shot. After a snowmobile ride, they found a natural scene with lines in the snow that led the eye to imposing mountains on the horizon.
At dusk, soft pink hues began to tinge the peaks, while the moon appeared in the clear Arctic sky. With years of experience, Serkan captured the perfect shot, transforming that moment into a unique work of art: an extraordinary visual memento of their trip. Along with the signed print, Omar and Nina received an exclusive 1/1 edition coffee table book, featuring images of the experience, to preserve the memory of this extraordinary journey.

SERKAN GÜNES
Serkan Günes is a Swedish-Turkish photographer, best known for his natural landscape photography. Günes was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and moved to Sweden at the age of 20. He currently lives in Swedish Lapland. According to Maria Ågren, Director General of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, Günes "possesses a unique mastery of capturing the beauty of everyday landscapes, as well as the obvious beauty of exotic landscapes." Serkan Günes is one of the most talented and interesting photographers in Europe today. He possesses a keen eye and a profound understanding of the values and nuances of light.
