The countdown to MSC World America, the 23rd ship in the MSC Cruises fleet and its new flagship, has finally begun. On April 9th, the ship will be officially christened in Miami, ushering in a new era in cruise travel.
MSC World America represents a true evolution of the successful World Class prototype, MSC World Europa, which in 2022 had already transformed the concept of cruising. With this new flagship, the company offers guests an even richer and more immersive experience, with completely redesigned areas and concepts.
Perfect for those who want to explore the Caribbean, MSC World America will offer an extraordinary level of comfort and elegance, with spaces designed for those seeking relaxation, entertainment and unforgettable adventures.
One of the main innovations will be the presence of seven districts on board, each with unique atmospheres and facilities, ensuring a personalized experience for every type of traveler. MSC Cruises has thought of every detail to satisfy every need, making every holiday unique.
With just a few months to go until the completion of the work, MSC World America is taking shape, and the company has just released updated photos of the areas currently under construction.
Captain Dino Sagani, who was already present at the shipyard to supervise the work and was chosen to command the ship, emphasized the unique opportunity of closely following the construction and crew training. "For a captain, building a ship is like watching a child being born," he explained, adding that he looks forward to sharing this exciting experience with his crew when MSC World America departs for Miami.
Leonardo Massa, MSC Cruises' Vice President of Southern Europe, commented on how MSC World America is the ideal ship for those seeking an unforgettable Caribbean experience. He revealed that many Italians, who have already had the opportunity to sail aboard her sister ship MSC World Europa in the Mediterranean, are already booking their holidays on this new wonder of the sea, which promises to be an unprecedented Caribbean cruise.
The ship will feature exclusive restaurants, such as Eataly, the first of its kind on a cruise ship, and a new Greek restaurant, Paxos. MSC Cruises' first comedy club, The Loft, will also be on board. MSC World America will also feature The Harbour, a new outdoor area for families and children, and the innovative Cliffhanger attraction, featuring a swing overlooking the ocean 50 meters above, for a thrilling experience unlike anything you've ever seen.
On the upper decks at the bow of the ship, the MSC Yacht Club will be located, an exclusive area for the most discerning guests, who will enjoy personalized service 24 hours a day, thanks to a dedicated butler and concierge.
The ship is currently in the final stages of fitting out at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, where the final furnishings and equipment are being installed to make MSC World America ready to sail.
