FROM THE EASTERN ITALIAN ALPS TO THE LARGEST STAGES IN THE WORLD: FAZIOLI IS THE EXCELLENCE OF MADE IN ITALY, HAVING ELEVATED ITS PRODUCT, THE GRAND PIANO, TO A PERFECT SYNTHESIS OF ART, TECHNOLOGY, AND DESIGN.
The factory is located in Sacile, on the border between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto, in an area boasting a rich and prestigious tradition in woodworking. Founded in 1981 by the engineer and pianist Paolo Fazioli, the company has achieved the most coveted goals in a short time: from its debut at international fairs to the acquisition of important dealers all over the world, from the supply of pianos to prestigious institutions, to exclusive collaborations with internationally renowned artists, such as Herbie Hancock, Angela Hewitt, Daniil Trifonov, Vadym Kholodenko, Boris Giltburg, Stevie Wonder, Ben Anderson, Andrea Bocelli.
A WORK OF ART IN EVERY INSTRUMENT Every Fazioli piano is the result of a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. The craftsmanship carried out by expert craftsmen gives each instrument its own uniqueness and inimitable character. The production process requires two years of work and obsessive precision. Production is deliberately limited—just 150 pianos per year—to ensure absolute quality control. The Sacile factory, designed to provide functional and comfortable spaces for both production and the workforce, is where this complex combination of tradition and innovation takes shape: the choice between a manual solution or the use of a cutting-edge machine is not driven by convenience, but always and solely by the essential goal of uncompromising quality.
EXTRAORDINARY MATERIALS, UNIQUE RESULTS The secret of the Fazioli sound also lies in the choice of materials, which aims for absolute excellence: the soundboards are made with red spruce from the eastern Italian Alps, whose forests also drew Antonio Stradivari for its legendary violins. The tuners, developed in collaboration with the industry's finest suppliers, are optimized to offer a dynamic, precise, and expressive response. Every element—from the strings to the frets, from the finishes to any decorations—is the result of expert selection and sophisticated manufacturing techniques by those consciously dedicated to creating a unique and precious object destined for the world of art.
THE STAMP: AN UNMISTAKABLE IMPRESSION Fazioli's challenge echoes the pioneering spirit of Bartolomeo Cristofori, who invented the piano in 1700 with the aim of overcoming the limitations of the harpsichord. Fazioli sought a long, clear, and expressive sound with a wide dynamic range and infinite timbral nuances, where all the voices of the polyphonic writing are distinct like the instruments of an orchestra and where the cantabile is as capable of moving as the human voice.
The pursuit of an ever-expanding range of tonal solutions is also evidenced by the invention of the fourth pedal, featured on the F308 grand piano—the longest in Fazioli's collection of seven models. This pedal, by shortening the hammer travel, offers new expressive possibilities while facilitating the execution of pianissimo, glissando, rapid passages, and legato, broadening the palette available to performers.
THE GREAT ARTISTS AND ICONIC MODELS Great Maestros and renowned artists recognize Fazioli pianos as the ideal vehicle for translating their creative and interpretive vision into music. These Made in Italy jewels, thanks to their expressive and technical qualities, are the choice of concert halls and recording studios from Canada to Japan, from Australia to South America. Protagonists of prestigious festivals and the most important international piano competitions, Fazioli pianos are increasingly in demand at conservatories, universities, and academies to accompany the training of the new generation of pianists.
In collaboration with leading architectural firms, Fazioli has created iconic high-design models that demonstrate the manufacturer's ability to meet the client's customization needs.
UA TIMELESS MASTERPIECE Fazioli's social mission is deeply rooted in its commitment to art and culture. In 2004, the company inaugurated the Fazioli Concert Hall, a state-of-the-art venue designed to offer an optimal acoustic environment that connects artists and audiences.
Another fundamental principle for Fazioli is sustainability. Three photovoltaic systems provide over half of the energy needed by the production facility. The company uses only certified wood and constantly seeks eco-friendly solutions.
With proper care, a Fazioli piano will live for generations, perpetuating its role as a functional masterpiece and timeless work of art.
