After thirty-five years, Felice Casorati returns to Milan with a retrospective at the Palazzo Reale dedicated to one of the most influential figures in 20th-century Italian art. The exhibition spans his entire career, showcasing 100 significant works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, and graphic works from prestigious private collections and museums, such as the Galleria Civica d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Turin, which houses the largest collection of his work.
A key element of the project is the collaboration with the Archivio Felice Casorati, which contributed paintings, drawings, sculptures, and key documents. The exhibition highlights Casorati's connection to Milan, a city crucial to his career as a leading center of modern art and its market in Italy.
The exhibition reveals Casorati's versatility beyond painting, with works in sculpture, graphic arts, and scenography, alongside a deep passion for music, which is reflected in his work as a set and costume designer.
